Common questions
Before you reach out.
Nothing. You don’t need a referral form, a plan number, or any paperwork. Just get in touch and we’ll take it from there. If you’re a support coordinator, having the participant’s name and suburb is helpful but not essential for the first conversation.
Absolutely. Young men can reach out themselves — by phone, text, or email. We also take referrals from support coordinators, families, and other professionals. Whoever gets in touch first, we respond within 24 hours.
We meet wherever the participant is comfortable — home, a cafe, the oval. It’s informal. No clipboard, no forms. Just a conversation to see if there’s a fit. If they want to come back, we go from there. If not, no hard feelings.
We’ll tell you honestly in week one, not month six. Not every participant is right for our service, and that’s fine. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll say so early and help point you in the right direction.
We cover Melbourne’s outer west (Wyndham, Melton, Brimbank, Werribee, Tarneit) and north (Hume, Whittlesea, Darebin, Craigieburn, Broadmeadows). If you’re not sure, just ask — we’ll let you know straight away.
